As part of the Postdoc Appreciation Week, join us for a special lunch seminar on September 19, 2024, where Marianne Roca, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Genetics of Behavior group, will present her research.
This seminar will provide an opportunity to delve into the cutting-edge research being conducted by the group and to discuss the broader implications of their findings in the field of behavioral genetics. Snacks and drinks will be provided after the talk.

The Genetics of Behavior group investigates the genetic, molecular, and neuronal mechanisms that drive the evolution of novel behavioral traits in animals. Their work focuses on comparing the behaviors of two nematode species, C. elegans and P. pacificus, which have evolved distinct feeding behaviors and kin-recognition systems. By leveraging advanced genetic tools and techniques, the group aims to unravel how these complex behaviors have developed and how they are integrated into the nervous system, providing insights into the evolutionary processes that shape animal behavior.
