Have you ever wondered how much we underestimate our sight and how its loss can affect perception of life? Have you also wondered how immune system and blood work on a microscopic level? If the answer is yes, then do not miss this amazing event; looking forward to seeing you there!

Seeing the world through ageing eyes

Ralf Dahm (Director of Scientific Management, Institute of Molecular Biology, Mainz)
Sight is our most important sense. But age and eye disease can affect how we perceive the world: details blur, colors fade and sometimes sight fails altogether. What does this mean for painters who rely heavily on their eyes? A look at pictures by Monet shows how his deteriorating sight affected his work.

Seeing is believing: Livestreaming blood and immune cells

Carsten Deppermann (Prof. Dr., University Medical Center, Mainz)
