It’s about hardware and software. Simple like that - or not. Let’s finally understand what a quantum computer is, and how to make the best use of it.
Software for Quantum Computers: New Horizons with Proven Methods
Lukas Burgholzer
(Postdoc - TUM)
How the development of quantum computers is progressing and why the development of appropriate software is crucial. Without suitable software, we could have powerful quantum computers but no way to implement applications on them. Proven methods from classical electronic design automation serve as inspiration for efficient solutions.

Behind the Curtain of Quantum Computing: an engineer’s perspective on superconducting quantum hardware
Emily Wright
(PhD student - Walther-Meissner-Institute)
Quantum computers may seem like a mysterious, futuristic technology. In fact, prototypes already exist and some are even available for anyone to use! This talk aims to provide a concrete explanation of what a quantum computer really is, in the context of superconducting quantum hardware.
