Yoga has become astonishingly popular in recent decades: two out of ten people in Germany practise yoga or are interested in starting. And it has thus aroused the interest of science. The increasing popularity of yoga on the mat is accompanied by an equal increase in clinical research into the effectiveness and safety of yoga for a wide range of illnesses. Prof. Dr. Holger Cramer and Lisa Mörchen, from University of Tübingen and Bosch Health Campus Stuttgart, will talk about the latest research on the health effects of yoga on widespread illnesses such as chronic pain and cardiovascular diseases. Simple yoga exercises will be demonstrated alongside the lecture - participation is strongly encouraged!
