Technology plays a huge role in our lives. But could we use it to improve our health monitoring? We’ll learn all about it, and also understand what are the impacts of such technologies in our social skills and wellbeing.
But What Does It Really Do? The Psychological Impacts of Interactional Technologies
Auxane Boch
(Research associate at TUM Institute for Ethics in AI)
From chatbots and social robots to virtual assistants and immersive interfaces, interactional technologies are becoming a key part of our daily lives. But beyond what they are designed to do, how do they shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? In this talk, we’ll explore how people respond to these technologies, if we treat them like humans (spoiler: sometimes we do!), and what that means for our social interactions and well-being. Expect a dive into the quirks of human perception, surprising research findings, and a fresh perspective on our growing entanglement with digital companions.

Beer, Alcohol and Metabolism – New Avenues in Personalized Metabolism Research
Pauline Couacault
(PhD student - Helmholtz Munich)
Metabolomics is a scientific field that studies small molecules in the body to understand health. It has opened new ways to personalized healthcare and diagnose diseases. By using simple devices that can be used at home to collect blood samples, we can continuously monitor health status. In this talk, we will explore various home-sampling devices and explain how combining them with advanced analysis techniques can help diagnose health conditions in the future.
